No, the email address you use to set up your TrainingCAL account does not have to be a company issued email address. Any email address will work., it can be your personal or your company email address. The account you set up in TrainingCAL belongs to you, so you should use an email address that you have access to. TrainingCAL uses your email address only when you use the "forgot username or password" feature.
The cost for a course in TrainingCAL is clearly displayed on the course description. If you chose a course that has a cost associated with it, a payment screen will be displayed. The preferred payment option is CREDIT CARD. Learn more on the "Payment Options" tab in the menu above.
Most courses in TrainingCAL do have a certificate that is issued after successful completion. Check the course description to see if a certificate is issued. The certificate includes you name, the course name, and the date completed. Those courses that include certificates will incorporate tests during the course. Successful completion of the course means you passed the test(s). All certificates you earn are saved in your user account (after logging in, click on your name in the header, and then chose "my certificates". You can print or download a PDF of your certificate.
Some courses will have life to them, which means you must complete the course by the prescribed date. Before choosing a course, make sure to check the course description to see if there is a time limit placed on the course completion (example: "this course must be completed 30 days after you begin").
Courses that include a certificate may also require that you complete a short test at the end of a chapter. The tests are designed to ensure that you understand the basic material in the chapter.
